Christmas Question

As I work, I listen to Christmas music non-stop. I love it! I don't care if I hear the same songs again and again, they just have a way of making me happy. It got me thinking, what is my favorite Christmas song? I think, even though it's not the cheeriest song, I'd have to pick "Blue Christmas" by Elvis. I LOVE to sing to that song! I'm curious what other people's favorites are. So, if you would humor me, leave me a comment and let me know. :)

LOL OMG that is Justin's favorite too cuz he says we always leave him alone on Christmas! :)...

I think my favorite is probably Silent Night but it has to be the church version not radio versions. I love to sing the alto part and LOVED when we sang it on Christmas Eve at church. SOOOOOOO many memories are attached to that song.

I can just hear Larry singing to the kids blue christmas...god, i'm laughing out loud picturing it.

The funny thing about being a hunecke, jamie, is that you probably sing christmas songs all day long and don't even realize it..

Okay, jokes aside, i am going towards mandy's opinoin here... i'm a big fan of any song sang at church, but mytop ones would have to be:

1) O Come All Ye Faithful
2) Silent Night
3) Oh Holy Night
4) Hark the Herald Angels Sing

sorry for teasing with you jamie, but i think aaron could tell me i'm right.

Thanks for the comments you guys! I enjoyed reading yours, although I'm still waiting for Brooke's answer. Scott, you...are...so...right!!! I do sing all the time and don't realize it. Like the time you called and talked to Aaron and you could hear me in the background. Had no idea! :)

Ok I think I have made my decision. I am going to agree with Mandy and Scott and say Silent Night-the church version. I remember singing it at our church service on christmas eve and also at our sunday school programs. We would sing it with the lights dim and everyone had candles lit.

You guys say it like it's a bad thing that we sing and don't realize it?! :)

Scott Nelsen said...

it's not a bad thing, it's just funny how you don't know you are singing :)

I agree, not bad just funny. I told Justin about that and he said "I sing?" that is when I started to giggle. He makes up songs ALL the time but I love it! I sing all the time too so I think it is a good thing. The girls at SOH used to laugh at me 'cuz I was always singing everything, it even caught on and they all started singing.... what can I say, it brings people together. :o)

Hey guys.....my favorite would be "Oh Holy Night" or "Grown Up Christmas List" and Adam's would be "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" or "I'll Be Home For Christmas". What a great idea Jam!
