Wedding #2

Aaron's assistant coach, Jerod, and his fiance, Mary, got married this past weekend. They had asked Jenna to be the flower girl and after the last wedding, I was very nervous!
Jenna was one of three flowergirls and she did NOT want to walk down on Friday at rehearsal, but Aaron sort of let her have it and then she walked down. She became good friends with Madison, the other three year old, which I think really helped.
When it came time to walk down the aisle, she not only walked down, but even threw petals down! Woo-Hoo! I was so excited!
Congrats to our friends Mary and Jerod on their wedding. We are so happy for you and can't imagine spending our summers with anybody else!! :)
Here are some pics of Jenna prior to the wedding. Sorry they're dark, but I didn't have my camera!

So cute!
Her pretty hair.

FUN photos

Most of you know that I LOVE to be creative with pictures. I have to...it's sort of part of my job. Well, Greg always teases me that if I need to learn something to let me practice on my kids, because that's how I learn best.
Here are some pictures I jazzed up a little. (Sorry for you facebookers that have already seen these). Enjoy!

Season Over

Baseball season is officially over. West Marshall lost 7-6 last Saturday night in district play. I am so sad! I think I probably took it worse than Aaron did! :) The game could have gone either way. We were behind 2-0, then we tied it at 2, then we got ahead 4-2, then they tied it at 4, then they went up 6-4 and then we came back at scored two runs in the top of the 7th with two outs to tied it again. BUT, unfortunately they got baserunners on and hit a walk-off single to win the game in the bottom of the 7th.

Some years it's tougher than others to see the season end. The boys finished 14-12 and if you would have asked me after the first game of the year how many games they would win I would have said about 5-6. With such a young, inexperienced team they came so far. I'm really proud of the boys and Aaron and Jerod and the job they all did this season.

And, as a true baseball fan, I'm already looking forward to next summer!! :)

4th of July Weekend

We had such a great 4th of July weekend! We were constantly on the go, but we got to see a lot of friends and family, which made it all worth it.

Friday night we headed to Ringsted where we met Aunt Mandy at Jay and Ros' house and spent the nite. We had a nice quiet nite just catching up and eating a good meal.

Saturday we headed to Armstrong where we went to the Ulrich's to see Adam, Jill, and Addy. Frank and Linda met us there shortly after that and we all headed to the park, where the kids did the inflatables and we saw a ton of people that we haven't seen for awhile.

We then went to the Walker's and watched the parade from their front yard. We got more than enough tootsie rolls to last us for a very long time. Then, it was naptime and lunch time back at Ulrich's.

Around 5:30 we headed to my 10-year class reunion. It was a lot of fun seeing everybody there that I haven't seen in way too long. It was great to catch up with everybody and see their spouses/kids. After that we headed to the Nelsen's in Ringsted with Scott and Lisa and spent the nite there.

Sunday was more fun as we headed to the Burdorf's in Emmetsburg. We had a family get together and it was a blast! There were little ones running around everywhere and it was pure craziness. Jenna didn't want to leave and she definitely wants to go back! :)

All in all, a great crazy-busy weekend. We were all grateful for the friends and family that we got to spend time with.
